Zurixx Continues Partnership with Jane Stern Dorado Community Library
February 27, 2017 – On February 15, 2017, several Zurixx employees visited Jane Stern Dorado Community Library (JSDCL) and two of its satellite libraries, Escuela Alfonso Lopez Garcia in Maguayo and Escuela Elisa Davila Vazquez in Vega Alta. Zurixx has been a proud partner with the Dorado Community Library System for the past two years.
“We are grateful for the collaboration of Zurixx over the last two years,” said Rebekah Alfond, member of the JSDCL Board of Directors. “Our summer program at JSDCL would not have been possible in 2016 without the timely solution [Zurixx] provided for the AC system, not to mention [Zurixx’s] continued support as the key sponsor of our Vino di Mare fundraiser the past two years.”
JSDCL operates as a private, nonprofit organization operating six days a week as a bilingual and bi-cultural community organization, serving as a lending library and a community and learning center. In addition to its books and information services, the library serves as a center for development and enrichment for Dorado’s students, seniors and people of all ages through a variety of activities and courses, from computer literacy education to math tutoring and band lessons for those children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to these programs.
“Our partnership with JSDCL began back in 2015 when we were the primary sponsor at their Vino di Mare fundraiser, which helps raise money to fund JSDCL’s various operations throughout the year,” said James Carlson, CEO of Zurixx. “Visiting JSDCL’s facilities and seeing the children and adults benefiting from classes and everything else JSDCL has to offer was a very rewarding experience. We look forward to continuing this partnership with JSDCL and the larger Dorado community.”
