Zurixx Collects Food for the Utah Food Bank
UPDATE: Zurixx employees were able to collect over ONE TON of food for the Utah Food Bank. The goal of filling all six bins in the office was met and even exceeded. Due to these efforts, more families in need will be able to enjoy warm meals during the holiday season.
“We are continually impressed by the dedication and willingness of our employees to support the community,” Jim Carlson, Zurixx CEO. “We feel fortunate to give back to those in need, especially during the holiday season. Our hope is that more families will be able to receive the help and support they need from these donations.”

It’s the season for giving, and Zurixx is continuing their tradition of hosting an annual holiday food drive to help fight hunger in Utah. Six bins have been placed throughout the office to hold the food donations. All food donated will go to the Utah Food Bank, who distributes food to the 13% (over 390,000 people) of Utah’s population that are unsure of where their next meals will come from.
Last year, Zurixx exceeded the goal of collecting 500 pounds of food during the food drive. This year, that same goal has been set and the hope is to exceed it once again.
The Utah Food Bank currently accepts the following items:
Food donations that meet the below criteria:
-All natural ingredients
-Low sodium
-Low sugar
-No high fructose corn syrup
Most needed food items:
-Peanut Butter
-Mac & Cheese
-Canned Meats (tuna, chicken or beef)
-Chili
-Spaghetti Os/Ravioli
-Canned Fruits
-Other Boxed Meals
“Finding ways to give back during the holidays is truly what this season is all about,” said Jeff Spangler, Zurixx Utah President. “We are proud to join the Utah Food Bank once again in the fight against hunger.”
