Zurixx Donates to Rouleur Cycling
Zurixx is again supporting young athletes across the Wasatch Front, this time through Rouleur Cycling. The growing cycling team is based in Sandy, Utah, and was created as a platform for young athletes to improve their skills and to help them find a passion for endurance sports such as cycling.
This year, 18 elite athletes have been selected to join the traveling team, 8 females and 10 males between 14-18 years of age. The team will be traveling to national events in: Puerto Rico, California, Canada, Colorado, Montana, West Virginia, as well as a few local events held throughout Utah. Several of the athletes will also likely be selected to race abroad in Europe this June with USA Cycling, which could lead to selection for the world championships held in Switzerland in September.
“I want to again thank [Zurixx] for the support of our program. There is a lot of energy from various individuals, and we could not do it without the donor monies from Zurixx each year,” said Steven R Saxton, Rouleur Development. “It truly has been a blessing to have you guys do this each year. I cannot thank you enough.”
The Rouleur Cycling Team will have around 60-90 development juniors who will learn valuable skills and training from coaches from April to July. The 18 elite juniors who were selected, and are sponsored by Zurixx, will be instructing and riding with the development juniors on a weekly-basis.
“We love having the opportunity to support the youth who live in the Wasatch Front, and Rouleur Cycling is certainly a worthy cause to donate to,” said Jim Carlson, Zurixx CEO.
