Zurixx Donates $5,000 to MDA Lock-Up “Bail”

August 30, 2016 — Doug Hopkins, one of Zurixx’s brand celebrities, was in “MDA Lock-Up” to help raise funds and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

In their tradition of giving, Zurixx donated $5,000 towards his “bail”, which funds research for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), spinal muscular atrophy and related muscular diseases.

Adults and children alike are affected by the life-threatening disease, which currently has no cure. As of right now, early diagnosis is the only way to ensure the best outcome for individuals with the disease.

MDA is on the mission to finding more treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, and Zurixx’s donation will help save and improve the lives of thousands of people fighting the life-threatening disease. Through donations, MDA will be able to fund the research necessary for finding treatments and cures, provide life-enhancing programs including state-of-the-art clinics, support groups and MDA summer camp, and rally communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising and local engagement.
