Zurixx Gives Back through DEA Citizens’ Academy Holiday Toy Drive
During the holiday season, Zurixx’s Puerto Rico office continued its tradition of giving back to the Dorado community. Zurixx donated toys to children in need in the Dorado community through the Drug Enforcement Agency Caribbean Division Citizens’ Academy.
The DEA Citizens’ Academy is a private nonprofit working in partnership with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to provide drug education and heightened awareness in the public sector. Their Caribbean Division hosts events in Puerto Rico and specifically the Dorado area to provide assistance to the residents there.
Hundreds of kids were able to celebrate the holidays enjoying love, having a nice party, and receiving gifts. “The help and care these kids get from the DEA’s CA is just wonderful,” said Eric Rivera, Office Manager and Events Coordinator at Zurixx Puerto Rico. “It’s such a wonderful feeling knowing that you are changing the lives of kids in need.”
“Participating in the toy drive and knowing our contribution was going to help bring happiness to children during the holidays was so special,” said Cris Cannon, President of Zurixx Puerto Rico. “There is no better gift you can give to a child than happiness.”
