Zurixx Joins an Evening of Fundraising at Vino di Mare Gala
On March 23rd, 2019, Zurixx participated as a sponsor of one of the largest fundraising events in Dorado, Puerto Rico: Vino di Mare.
Vino di Mare is a gala held annually to benefit the Jane Stern Dorado Community Library (JSDCL). More than 300 business leaders, philanthropists, and government officials attend the event to help secure much-needed funding for the library’s bilingual programs and services. This year, patrons enjoyed an evening filled with dining, dancing, and wine tasting at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. An exciting live auction was also held to help reach the library’s $300,000 goal for the evening.
Over the past 45 years, the JSDCL has become much more than “just” a library. In addition to book lending, the JSDCL operates as a community and learning center with more than 54,000 visits each year. The major goals of the library’s community outreach are to provide programs that support learning and supplement the education of public school students, to provide computer training to Puerto Rico citizens through courses ranging from basic use to an advanced IT curriculum, and to provide access to computers and the internet through our computer labs, laptops and reliable Wi-Fi.
