Susan G. Komen 3rd Annual Pink Friday Gala
On October 9th, 2015, Zurixx had the honor of attending the 3rd Annual Susan G. Komen Pink Friday Gala to celebrate the continued support for cancer research and breast cancer awareness. The entire event was decked in pink, from pink carpet, pink boas, pink balloons and even pink champagne. Volunteers, survivors, sponsors, and donors came together for both silent and live auctions the included everything from cooking classes, gift baskets, sports memorabilia, a signed Gibson Les Paul guitar and even a pair of 2 carat pink diamond earrings from Ari Diamonds!
Members of team Zurixx received a special mention during the evening; the team displayed their donation check totaling $78,480 and Terri Borg presented the group with a memorable picture from the Breast Cancer Walk from May 2015. The night was filled with stories of loss, hope, survival and inspiration. Team Zurixx was proud to support such an incredible organization.
The Susan G. Komen organization is the world’s largest non-profit source of funding for the fight against breast cancer. The organization was founded to address breast cancer through research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives, with a mission to save lives and end breast cancer forever. The generous donation from Zurixx will help the non-profit organization further their research for finding a cure for breast cancer.

OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
In 2015, an estimated 50,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Worldwide, every 21 seconds, another woman hears “I’m sorry, you have breast cancer.” October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Zurixx, Susan G.
