Now, through Zurixx’s contribution, the library has launched a Girls Who Code Club Program! This program provides a supportive environment for third to fifth-grade girls to learn the concepts and functions that form the basis for all programming language.
Sixteen girls have enrolled in the inaugural set of classes that will run through December. They meet once a week to experiment and engage in computer science with real-time support. Zurixx is proud to support The Jane Stern Dorado Community Library in empowering women and girls in our communities.
Girls Who Code was founded with a single mission: to close the gender gap in technology. They offer a variety of programs that are designed to educate and inspire girls to change the world through the use of technology.
The Jane Stern Dorado Community Library is a private, nonprofit organization that is open six days a week to Dorado, Puerto Rico students, seniors and people of all ages in the community. The library is a bilingual and bicultural organization whose purpose is community enrichment and development.
