Salt Lake City – Zurixx is pleased to continue its partnership with Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) to help fund cancer research through the “I Am A Hero” Campaign.
In addition to sponsoring the Huntsman 5K race this June, Zurixx is also launching the “I Am A Hero” Campaign as a social media initiative to show why it is so important that Zurixx and its employees contribute to this worthy cause.
The Huntsman 5K is a family-friendly fun run fundraiser for cancer research on Saturday, June 17. All funds raised for the event will be used to fund cancer research at HCI. Since beginning in 2014, Huntsman 5K and Kids Fun K events have raised over $548,000.
“I Am A Hero” will feature photos of Zurixx employees and the reason they support our partnership with HCI written on a mini chalkboard. Each message will be personal to that employee and show that people from all walks of life can come together to support a common cause: fighting cancer.
“Zurixx is made up of so many different kinds of people, but this project shows that we are all affected by this horrible disease,” said Janine Halversen, Public Relations Specialist at Zurixx. “I am honored to be able to stand with such strong colleagues in our support of the important work Huntsman is doing.”
Zurixx will share the employee photos each day on social media with the hashtags #TeamZurixx, #IAmAHero, and the employees’ social media handle.
